Instructional Design is when the performance of an expert individual is observed and broken down into component parts. Each of these parts is then further analysed until a clear process of 'constructing' an expert from the ground up has been outlined.

Jobs where lives matter, paramedics, fire-fighters, coast guards, and many others all have a consistent element to the education of their employees; basic training. I am unsure if this is simply a neo-military tradition where new employees are initiated into the career, or if the process of a constructivist basic training period is quantifiably more effective than its alternatives. However it is a consistent methodology across countries and careers where people will die if their training is ineffective.

As far as I am able to find out every elite military and emergency services operative begins their education in a similar manner. This would imply it is either a most efficient form of education, the best value for money or both.

This was the start point of the 7SC; see what elite players are doing and break it down from there. This is why the 7SC are style neutral. Rondo's or long ball is philosophy, making the ball do it is technique.
